I have similar studies from Polytechinc and vocational qualification of electronic engineering in my background. My first experience with pogramming is from beginning of 90's and have hobbied programming lightly with many languages since. I have spent my time with Finnish Linux User Group, FLUG, and Joensuun Linux-kerho Jinux recent years. I have work experience from variety of computer support tasks, system administration, sell jobs and electronic service, with addition of summercamp instructor and school assistant jobs. I have been active in KDE and Ubuntu development since 2005, being much of the time between the users and coders as usersupport and tester, gaining additional name "our annoying user". My stake is also seen in several places related to code, artwork and usability, for example icons, menus and chat window styles in Kopete. I am currently official but unpaid developer of KDE and Ubuntu and also active participant in Ubuntu-Suomi (http://ubuntu-fi.org). Project Kubuntu yadda yadda installer yadda Qt etc Currently Kubuntu installer doesn't have migration tools from Windows etc yadda This project aims to provide working migration assistant to next Kubuntu release due Oct 2008. It should include import functions for user accounts and their settings and fitting them to newly installed target system. Secondary aim is to add new systems to available sources (namely MS Vista and OS X). First month is meant to provide the kickstart base for the real codework. Second month will go for coding these functions in and third month could be spent to documentary and bugfixing, including additional functions if possible. First month can be split to four week pieces: 1. Familiarizing to source information and formats and target system equivalents 2. Familiarizing to available sourcecode and working with it 3. Designing algorithms and other groundwork before the coding Second month can be divided with different setting groups: 1. User accounts and data, desktop and colour settings, wallpaper etc 2.
